The Assin Fosu District Magistrate Court presided over by His Worship Abdul Majid Iliasu, sentenced a 14-year-old boy (name withheld) to two years in juvenile incarceration at Agona Swedru for stabbing a friend.
The 13-year-old victim (name withheld) explained that the convict’s girlfriend became ill while visiting him during a birthday celebration.
He suggested his friend (criminal) take the girl to the hospital before her illness deteriorated out of annoyance and curiosity.
The convict, who was upset that the victims kept hammering the girl and that she should be taken to the hospital for quick medical attention, pulled out a knife and stabbed him several times in the stomach, belly, chest, and so on.
The victim whose intestines had been removed bled excessively.
He was sent to St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu for treatment but was later referred to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
