The famous comedian Waris’ full name is Abdul Waris Umaru. He was born to Mr. Umaru Ibrahim in Kumasi, in Ghana’s Ashanti region, and is a Ghanaian. He refers to himself as a “professional stupid” and is the first of three siblings. He was conceived on July 31, 1992. He attended Kingsway School in Kaneshie for his elementary and junior high schooling before transferring to Odorgonno Senior High School. He received his post-secondary training at Top Media School, from which he graduated in 2014.
During the same year, he came to Channel 5 television after working as an intern at Rainbow radio and Top Fm as a sound engineer.
