The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has suspended Emmanuel Gyamfi from competition for Aduana FC for five matches and assessed him a fine of two thousand Ghana Cedis (GHc2,000).
The suspension results from a sporting misconduct incident that took place at the Nana Agyemang Badu I Park in Dormaa during a Ghana Premier League match against Asante Kotoko goalie Frederick Asare.
Following the incident, the GFA prosecutor filed charges against Gyamfi, who mounted a vigorous defense.
Despite his efforts, the player finally received a GHc2,000 fine and a five-match suspension.
This punishment comes after earlier warnings that the player received, and it serves as a reminder of the value of sportsmanship.
