The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has designated November 2022 as the date for electing its presidential candidate in 2024.
This was revealed in a communiqué issued following a national executive committee meeting on May 9, 2022.
Lower-level elections to elect branch, ward, constituency, and regional executives will precede the national congress.
At the meeting, the NDC’s leadership also agreed to conduct membership verification and updates on its registered membership through May 15, 2022.

It has also opened up the possibility of new member registration between May 21 and June 7, 2022.
Ward and constituency elections, as well as the regional conference and national congress, have yet to be set.
Another important decision made at the NEC conference was that the NDC recognize and adopt Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lolobi, and Likpe as constituencies.
