Former President John Dramani Mahama was part of a delegation that met with Nigeria’s president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just hours before the septuagenarian was formally declared the winner of the February 25 presidential elections in Nigeria.

Mr. Mahama is in Nigeria as a member of the West African Elders Forum, a group of former African heads of state who are observing the elections in Africa’s most populous country.

Mahama paid visits to Tinubu as well as the other two top aspirants, Labour Party’s Peter Obi and People’s Democratic Party’s Atiku Abubakar (PDP).
