The one-week memorial for late Ghana international Christian Atsu has been set for Saturday, March 4.
Atsu’s family, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and the Sports Ministry met at the player’s home to make the decision.
Evans Bobie, Deputy Minister of Sports, led representatives from the GFA and the Sports Ministry in expressing condolences to the bereaved family.

On Saturday, February 18, Atsu was confirmed dead after spending 12 days under rubble as a result of the devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey and Syria, killing over 47,000 people.
The remains of the 31-year-old were flown to Ghana from Turkey on Sunday.
