
According to the party’s Vetting Committee Chairman, Edward Doe Adjaho, former President John Dramani Mahama will be the first name on the ballot in the NDC’s presidential primaries.
Following the successful vetting of all three candidates, the balloting process saw former Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive, Kojo Bonsu, and former Finance Minister, Dr. Kwabena Duffuor, take the second and third positions, respectively.
Meanwhile, the fourth candidate, Ernest Kwaku Kobeah, withdrew from the race prior to the balloting.

Mr. Adjaho stated that now that the vetting has been completed and the results have been announced, the party will communicate with the Electoral Commission (EC) to begin planning for the primaries.
The Presidential and Parliamentary primaries for the NDC have been set for May 13, 2023.
