Idrissa Akuna Elba, better known as Idris Elba, an English actor, singer, and producer, has urged Ghana’s government to promote creative arts education.
“We’re encouraging the government of Ghana to really push education in creative arts,” Idris Elba said on Opemsuo FM in Kumasi when he recently came to Ghana.
According to the well-known award-winning figure, there is a widespread misconception that the creative arts are limited to singing, dancing, and acting.
‘Because there’s so much to it, and people think it’s all about singing, dancing, and acting, but it’s not just that,’ he continued.
“Even this studio was probably built by someone with a creative mind, and this is a technical space,” he added, as seen by Amansan Krakye of MyNewsGh.com.
‘This is the educational landscape, and whether you are an actor or a technical person, education is the way forward,” he concluded.
