Shattafest UK 2026 has been called off due to security concerns
A post circulating credited to DadzieTV claims Shattafest UK 2026 has been called off due to security concerns after an incident that left several people injured.
As of this evening, Saturday August 1, 2026, Eventbrite and other official listings still show the festival as scheduled and no statement has been published by the organizers Akwaaba UK, Ghana Party in the Park, or Shatta Wale’s management.
Shattafest UK 2026 is the UK edition of Shatta Wale’s flagship festival, staged as part of Ghana Party in the Park 2026.
• Date: Saturday, 01 August 2026, 12 PM – 9 PM
• Venue: Copthall Playing Fields, Off Championship Way, London NW4 1PS
• Organizer: Akwaaba UK, a leading Ghanaian events promoter in the UK known for large-scale cultural events
• Headliner: Shatta Wale – billed as “GOG lands in London for the ultimate summer shutdown — SHATTAFEST UK 2026”
The festival was promoted as more than a concert – a full cultural showcase with live band performances, traditional dancers, food experiences, fashion, games and funfair.
Early bird tickets were reported to have sold out in under 24 hours when released, and Shatta Wale was seen in London in the days leading up to the event for venue inspection.
Security measures listed on the official page already stated “All guests will be searched before entry into the event grounds.”
